Curtain Poles for Bay Windows
We are pleased to be able to offer a great range of 19mm and 30mm curtain poles for bay windows in association with our partner Walcot House. Both the 19mm (black and stainless steel) and 30mm (stainless steel only) poles can be bent to order and will be despatched to you together with your chosen Walcot House finials and accessories. Poles can have one, two, four or even six bends making it possible to treat even the largest bay windows.
Curtain Makers
The unique design of Walcot House passing brackets and ‘C’ rings makes it possible to have fully working curtains on poles up to 6 metres in length. The ‘C’ shape of the rings enables them to glide over any number of passing brackets, allowing one pair of curtains, or even a single curtain, to be pulled all the way across a window. The passing brackets are available as face-fix or top-fix and there is even a double passing bracket which allows for sheers and curtains at the same window.
Glass Finials

Riva Cube – Abalone, Tortoiseshell, Troca and Mother of Pearl create a myriad of subtle colours and hues which change with the light. Matching holdbacks are available.
Glass Ellipse – Beautiful handmade glass finials in a range of sumptuous colours including lime green, amber, ruby and aquamarine.
Helios & Icarus – These stunning glass finials are made by layering glass with real silver and gold leaf to create a depth of subtle, shimmering colours.
Twine – A host of hand-dyed twine colours wrapped around stainless steel barrel or cone shaped finials.
Moonstone – A stunning range of twelve colourful elliptical and geometric stones that can be used to build your own finials. The moonstones can be used individually or in twos and threes to create any number of combinations to match your fabric.
How To Order a Bay Pole
We will send you a specification form detailing all the measurements we need you to provide in order for us to produce your pole. Measuring accurately for bay poles is much easier with two people and measurements must be taken at the height that the bay pole is to be fitted. If you are based in London or the Home Counties, we offer a full measure and fitting service for bay poles. Our professional fitters are fully trained and are familiar with the Walcot House range of poles and fittings. They can also hang and dress your curtains, if required. Price is dependent upon the number of bends in the window and your location so please ask for further details.
Once we are in receipt of all the necessary information, together with your purchase order, we will produce a technical drawing based on your measurements which we need you to sign-off before we can proceed. This drawing gives the precise measurements that the finished pole will be manufactured to enabling you to give your curtain makers the correct heading widths for the curtains. Lead-times are approximately 4 weeks. Your pole will be despatched together with your chosen accessories on an overnight service. They can either be despatched to you, or your curtain makers, or direct to your own curtain fitter. All poles are supplied with full fitting instructions.
