Product Purchasing
idolum offers a complete product purchasing service for fabrics, trimmings, wallpaper, lighting and furniture. This makes life much easier for you as we not only place the orders, but progress them, and deal with any problems or queries that may arise. If an item is out of stock or unavailable in time for your project we can help you to reselect an alternative. Instead of having to deal with lots of separate invoices from different suppliers, we will raise you just one invoice for the product we have ordered on your behalf. You do not need to come into the library to place an order, all we ask is that once you are registered with us, all orders are placed in writing. This can be via email, fax or post. We will notify you immediately of any stock issues and give you an estimated delivery date.
Our spacious design library is available for use by appointment. More than 1350 fabric & wallpaper books from 180 suppliers cater to a wide range of budgets and tastes. A separate section is available for contract products. The library is constantly updated, and books may be borrowed for client presentations, we also offer a full next-day sampling service. Books are stored by supplier and our at-a-glance price guide makes it easy to design within budget.

We are able to order from the majority of suppliers including fabrics and wallpapers from Romo, Zimmer Rohde, Andrew Martin, Abbott & Boyd and Colefax & Fowler. All fabric including Colefax and Fowler can be either be sent direct to your own curtain makers or upholsterers, or delivered to us for making-up in our own workroom.
For tracks and poles you can choose from Fabricant, Tillys, Walcot House, Resina and The Bradley Collection, as well as a huge range of pre-packaged poles from Integra, Swish and Rolls. We are always happy to advise and oversee the installation of motorised tracks, blinds and wintergarden systems from Silent Gliss. We also carry a huge choice of woodslat blinds, roller blinds, verticals, venetians and skylight blinds.
Wallpaper can be ordered, collated on the premises and despatched to your client in one consignment. This can be useful if you are using product from several different suppliers. All you need to do is provide your decorator with a schedule. Again, we have accounts with the majority of suppliers, including the larger contract companies such as Vescom (Helen Sheane) and Tektura. The majority of wallpaper suppliers now manufacture their own range of recommended adhesives and we are always happy to advise on these, together with estimating for some of the wider width papers and panels if required.
If you choose to order your furniture through us, we can arrange for product to be delivered direct to site, from the manufacturer, on the day of your installation. Alternatively we can arrange for all the furniture to be delivered to our warehouse where it will be checked for damage, booked-in and stored securely until it is required. We can then deliver all the furniture in one consignment and lay it out according to verbal direction, or floor plans provided.
