By Road – see map above. There is limited visitor parking on site, however there are parking metres in Portland Road and Villiers Road. Please be aware that the ‘Resident’s Only’ parking is patrolled regularly.

By Train – idolum lies within a short distance of both Kingston and Surbiton main-line stations. From Surbiton you can take a taxi, or catch the number 71 or 281 bus from outside Waitrose and ask to be dropped at the University. A short walk of approximately 5 minutes will get you to Horace Road. From Kingston we are a walk of approximately 15 minutes, or a short taxi ride.

Facilities – Both Kingston and Surbiton have an abundance of shops selling good coffee and sandwiches. We have a sandwich round each day at approximately 12pm, and there is a fridge here if you would rather bring your own lunch. You are welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee.

Hours – The design library is open between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Thursday. Please telephone to book in design time – we will advise you if the library is likely to be particularly busy. Please do not bring in clients without notifying us first.

Children – As the design library is a working environment we ask that you leave small children and babies at home.
