idolum is a completely unique one-stop resource facility for freelance designers, architects, developers and other professionals working in the field of interior design.
For the freelance interior designer working from home, idolum provides a business framework in which to operate – all the support of a larger organisation but with no strings attached. We hold trade accounts with the majority of fabric and wallpaper suppliers and our extensive design library is available for use 5 days a week. You can borrow our books for client presentations and we offer a full sampling service too. Once registered with us you can phone or fax your orders through, so even if you live many miles away we can still help.
Architects and other small design practices can offer their clients a full interior design service without the hassle and expenditure of setting-up their own trade accounts. Let your designers use our facilities – we can work directly from written design briefs and are familiar with scale-drawings and building plans.
Upholsterers can take advantage of our product purchasing service by ordering a wide range of upholstery and contract fabrics. Once registered, your orders can be emailed, faxed or posted to us – your fabric can then be sent direct to you from the supplier.
Developers with their own in-house design teams are welcome to make use of our design and workroom facilities. Alternatively, let us recommend an interior designer to you. We can put you in touch with a number of designers who specialise in the show-house market and can advise you on interior schemes to maximise your sales.
